Structural Insulated Panels (SIP)

Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) are an excellent alternative for those who would like a little more from their home, but don't want a concrete structure.

SIP panels are usually made of expanded polystyrene or rigid foam insulation, sandwiched between two sheets of oriented strand board. Actual materials may vary from different manufacturers.

Animated Construction Project SIP panels offer:

Better insulation values than traditional 2x4 or 2x6 framed homes, due to solid wall construction
Draft free, consistent interior temperatures
Custom size, pre-cut panels go together easily and quickly
Reduction in sound transmission through exterior walls

SIP homes are also compatible in construction costs to traditional stick framed homes. Of course the energy savings, comfortable climate, and lasting quality of SIP structures far exceed traditional framing value.
